Log Entry #002 • Ethics

The MBR Beagles and their legal abuse.

This entry explores the systematic abuse of Beagle puppies occurring at an animal testing facility adjacent to Wyton.

"To bear witness to the puppies' cries, the smell emanating from the sheds, and the razor-wire fences hiding industrial units where dogs are confined 24/7."

Beagle puppies as young as 16 weeks are shipped from MBR Acres breeding facilities to toxicology laboratories in large white vans via the courier service IMPEX. During toxicology experiments, chemical or drug compounds are repeatedly administered, with doses regularly increased for up to 128 days.

Administration occurs via injection, force-feeding through throat tubes, topical application to skin and eyes, or forced inhalation of chemical gases. At the conclusion of these experiments, all surviving dogs are killed to conduct autopsy reports.

There is no scientific justification for these outdated practices. Modern methods based on human biology and data modeling predict human reactions more accurately than animal testing. Despite this, facilities remain operational because the government has failed to mandate a transition.

On November 29, 2021, the government granted a license to MBR Acres and B&K Universal Limited. This license permits procedures for harvesting organs and draining blood—often while the animals are fully conscious—resulting in terminal bleeding.
